World Diplomacy Forum

This Is Not a Conference.

It Is an EXPERIENCE that shapes your diplomacy journey.

The World Diplomacy Summit is a 3-day immersive leadership experience designed for the next generation of global leaders, diplomats, and change-makers. Unlike traditional conferences built around passive learning, WDF is built around you - your decisions, your negotiations, your leadership skills under pressure.

WHAT IS THE WDF Experience

Three days that change how you see yourself as a leader.

The World Diplomacy Forum is not a training programme, not a seminar, and not a passive
conference. It is a three-day immersive challenge where every delegate is put in real situations -
negotiating, deciding, competing, and presenting - with peers from across the world, in Bali,
Indonesia.

AWARDS & RECOGNITION

Six awards. One title. A recognition system built around what actually matters

Awards at WDF are not voted on by delegates at random. They are observed throughout the full three days by the ISLD facilitator team, who score delegates against specific criteria. Every session counts. Every moment is an opportunity.

Most Influential Delegate
What it recognises

The highest individual honour. Awarded to the delegate voted by the full room as the most compelling, credible, and influential leader across the conference.

How it is judged

Won through the Last Leader Standing competition on Day 3. Decided by delegate vote - not the facilitator team.

🏆
Master of Crisis Leadership
What it recognises

Awarded to the group who performed at the highest level during the Day 2 Crisis Simulation.

How it is judged

Decided by the facilitator panel after reviewing all submissions and hearing all presentations on Day 2.

🌱
Aspiring Leader Award
What it recognises

The delegate who showed the most remarkable personal growth across the three days - regardless of where they started.

How it is judged

Observed by the facilitator team. Given to the delegate whose Day 3 performance most clearly exceeded their Day 1 presence.

🤝
Diplomatic Impact Award
What it recognises

The delegate who demonstrated the most sophisticated diplomatic skill - reading the room, building alliances, navigating conflict with precision.

How it is judged

Observed throughout the Crisis Simulation and the Last Leader Standing competition.

Note: This is a tentative schedule to give participants an overview of how the three days will look like. Final schedule will be provided to confirmed delegates two weeks prior to the conference.

DAY 1 · ARRIVE. CONNECT. PREPARE.

Networking Dinner & Delegate Kit Collection

Evening

Welcome Networking Dinner

Your first evening in Bali is not a formal event - it is the most important networking session of the conference. You will meet your fellow delegates over a curated dinner, collect your delegate kit (including your resource pack, reflection journal, and conference materials), and get your first look at what the next two days will demand of you. No agenda. No speeches. Just conversation.

On arrival

Delegate Kit Collection

Each delegate receives their delegate kits and completes event check-in.

DAY 2 · LEAD. DECIDE. DEFEND.

Opening Ceremony + Crisis Simulation + Group Presentations

09:30 – 10:00

Opening Ceremony

The World Diplomacy Forum officially begins. ISLD leadership sets the tone, introduces the programme philosophy, and outlines what the next two days will demand. Delegates are seated at their assigned groups - the people they will work with for the rest of the day.

10:00 – 12:40

The Crisis Simulation

This is the centrepiece of Day 2. Every delegate plays the role of a Policy Advisor to a fictional international body. A live AI governance crisis is revealed on screen. The delegates will have 100 minutes to respond. Phase 1 - Research (60 min): Groups use AI tools, resource packs, and their own knowledge to brief themselves on the crisis and develop their position. Phase 2 - Build (40 min): Groups produce a PowerPoint presentation and a one-page position paper outlining their response plan. Both are submitted to the facilitator team at the end of the phase. All submissions are time-stamped.

12:40 – 14:00

Lunch Break

14:00 – 17:00

Group Presentations & Q&A

Each group presents their response plan to the full room. The facilitator team acts as the international panel - they ask probing questions, challenge assumptions, and probe the evidence behind each policy position. Presentations are 8 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. At the end of the session, the facilitator panel selects the Best Response Plan - the group whose policy was the most credible, practical, and well-argued. This is the Master of Crisis Leadership recognition.

17:00

Day 2 Close

Delegates are briefed on the Day 3 schedule, including the Knowledge Quiz and the Last Leader Standing competition. The evening is unstructured - delegates are encouraged to rest, reflect, and prepare.

DAY 3 · COMPETE. RISE. BE RECOGNISED.

Knowledge Quiz + Individual Presentation + Last Leader Standing + Awards + City Tour

09:00 – 09:45

The Leadership Knowledge Quiz

An individual written quiz based on the resource pack shared before the conference. Completed individually.

09:45 – 10:30

Individual Presentation - Open Floor

Delegates who wish to voice a pertinent topic may come forth and do so. Time is allotted based on number of delegates wanting to present.

10:30 – 12:30

Last Leader Standing

The competition that defines the conference. Four rounds. Progressively fewer delegates. One winner - the Most Influential Delegate. Details will be revealed on Day 2.

12:30 – 14:00

Award Ceremony

The formal close of the World Diplomacy Forum.

14:00 – 15:30

Lunch Break

16:00

Bali City Experience

An exclusive experience through Bali's cultural landmarks - curated by ISLD as a celebration of the conference's completion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Question Answer
Who should apply? Young professionals, diplomats, policy advisors, corporate leaders, NGO directors, academics, and anyone who wants to test and develop their leadership in a real, high-pressure environment. Most delegates are between 18 and 40.
Do I need prior knowledge of AI? No. The programme is designed for leaders who want to understand AI's role in their field - not for technical specialists. The resource pack prepares you fully.
What language is the conference in? English is the primary language of all sessions.
Is this a training programme? No. WDF is an experience, not a training course. There are no lectures, no trainers at the front of the room, and no passive sessions. Everything you do here, you do.
What happens if I don't win the Last Leader Standing? The vast majority of delegates do not win - and leave with just as much value. The competition is one component of a three-day programme. Every delegate is eligible for all five other awards.
Can I attend without the scholarship? Yes. The Full Experience and Programme Only packages are available to all applicants regardless of assessment score.
Is accommodation guaranteed in the Full Experience package? Yes. The Full Experience includes 3 nights hotel accommodation (on double-sharing basis), including breakfast.
How is the city tour structured? The Day 3 Bali City Experience is a guided group tour of Bali's cultural landmarks. It is included in all packages and lasts approximately 3 hours.
Can organisations send multiple delegates? Yes — and we encourage it. Groups of 3 or more qualify for the Group Rate. Contact ISLD directly for group pricing.
What is the refund policy? The commitment fee is non-refundable. For WDF registration fee (Full Experience, and Program Only), refund terms are stated here: https://isldofficial.com/contact-us/tc/
